Most cars up to 10 years old
We consider a wide range of vehicles across all makes and models. Below is a guide to what we typically purchase.
- Cars generally up to 10 years old (selected older vehicles may be considered)
- All makes — Ford, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Toyota, Honda and more
- Petrol, diesel, hybrid and fully electric
- Hatchbacks, saloons, estates, SUVs and MPVs
- Cars with minor cosmetic faults, bodywork marks or scuffs
- Vehicles with known mechanical issues (disclosed upfront)
- Cars with partial or no service history
- Cars with an advisory on the MOT
- Cars with outstanding finance (subject to checks)
We consider cars in most conditions
Honest descriptions matter more than perfect condition. We just need to know what we are looking at before we visit.
Good condition
Clean, well-maintained vehicles with service history, low to average mileage and no significant faults. Typically attract the strongest offers.
Fair condition
Vehicles with minor scuffs, an advisory on the MOT, partial service history or higher-than-average mileage for the age. Still very much considered.
Rough or faulty
Cars with known mechanical faults, bodywork damage or failed MOT. We may still be able to help — call us and describe the situation honestly.
Cars with finance may still be considered
If your car has outstanding finance, please tell us upfront. It does not automatically prevent a sale, but it does need to be handled correctly.
- Outstanding HP or PCP finance must be disclosed
- Finance must be settled before legal ownership transfers
- We can discuss how this works when you call
- You will need your finance agreement details
- The settlement figure from your lender is required
Vehicles we do not typically buy
To help you make an informed decision before calling, the following types of vehicles are generally outside our buying criteria.
❌ Cars over 10 years old
We focus on cars generally up to 10 years old. Selected older vehicles with low mileage and good service history may be considered — call to check.
❌ Category A or B write-offs
Insurance write-offs that are classified as Category A or B are not suitable. Category S or N vehicles may be considered on their own merits.
❌ Commercial vehicles
We buy private cars. Vans, lorries, buses and other commercial vehicles are not currently within our buying criteria.
❌ Motorcycles and other vehicles
We focus exclusively on cars. Motorcycles, motorhomes, caravans and other vehicle types are not something we purchase.

Car won't start, seized engine, clutch or gearbox failure — we still make an offer.
🔴 Damaged Cars
Accident damage, bodywork damage, Category N and S write-offs considered.
🔴 High Mileage
100,000 to 200,000+ miles — we assess condition, not just the odometer reading.
🔴 No MOT
Expired or failed MOT is no barrier — we assess and offer on current condition.
🔴 Engine Problems
Warning lights, oil burning, head gasket, timing chain — we buy these cars.
🔴 Gearbox Problems
Slipping clutch, automatic faults, DSG issues — not a barrier to an offer.
🔴 Scrap & End of Life
Category B write-offs, severe rust and end-of-life vehicles assessed fairly.
